FACT

Your computer is an electro-mechanical object with delicate moving parts and spinning discs. IT WILL WEAR OUT AND BREAK. If you did not make a copy of your data ALL WILL BE LOST. The true value of any computer is the data that resides upon the spinning discs inside it.

THE HOLY TRINITY OF BACKUP

Always have three copies of your data, the original, a local copy for fast restores, an offsite copy for restores in the event of a catastrophic disaster, fire, flood, theft. You can never have too many copies. The minimum recommended requirement is two copies.

INSURANCE

Online data backup is an insurance. If your business or institution relies on computers and you value your business then the data on your computers is the real value of your company and not backing it up is gambling with your livelihood.

PROTECTION

At Gigasoft we install software on your computers that automatically schedules the copying of your data to our secure data centre via the internet, the data is stored in an encrypted state and in the event of a disaster the copy of your data is made available for restoration back to you.

KIS

Keep It Simple. We recommend a minimum of 2 backups, a local backup to disk and an online backup to Gigasoft. Understand what data that needs to be backed up and restored in the event of data loss. Ask yourself what data will you need restored back to keep your company going in the event of total data loss?

CHECK MONITOR TEST

Take regular data auditing reviews and test data restoration. Monitor your backups daily and run disaster scenarios to highlight any potential pitfalls.
